Phil, a farmhand in Scotland, suffers a stroke and loses his memory. He does not recall why he is on this godforsaken island nor who Millie, a cold and beautiful woman, is and their secret affair. Bouli Lanners is one of the most exciting voices in European cinema, a fantastic actor, and in his fifth directorial work proves his ability to lead romantic dramas; with all their emotional and plot twists. The rustic and stormy vistas contribute to the film’s atmosphere, but it is Lanners and Michelle Fairley’s mature presence that power this pleasing drama.
