The Band’s Visit

The Band's Visit, starring Sasson Gaby and Ronit Elkabetz, tells the story of an Egyptian police band that arrives in Israel of the early 90s, in order to play at the opening of a new Arabic cultural center in Petah Tikva. When no one comes to meet them at the airport, they try to make do on their own. A miscommunication at the information counter leads them to a god-forsaken town in the south called Beit Hatikvah. The unforgettable night they spend in the town will change their lives and that of the locals, forever.
