Anthropological Film Festival - November 2022
Open for Submissions

After the challenges of the 2021, our Anthropological Film Festival is alive and kicking and ready to commence the 2022 edition with enthusiasm and optimism.

The 11th Anthropological Film Festival at the Jerusalem Cinematheque will be held in November 2022, and we are now open for submissions.

We will be pleased to receive your submission of films from 2021-2022

 

The Festival selects films that document and explore human societies and cultures in their many facets, such as, social and cultural diversity, continuity and change, relationship with the environment and to promote dialogue between cultures.

We welcome submissions of documentary films made by anthropologists, students, and professional filmmakers; 

we welcome films at least 45min. long.

The festival is a joint project of the Jerusalem Cinematheque-Israel Film Archive and the Dept. of Sociology and Anthropology, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.

 

The registration deadline is July 30th, 2022

Eligibility requirements are:

  • Films produces in 2021-2022
  • Full length films (at least 45 min. lng)
  • Online screeners only (preferably vimeo links) valid until at least August 30th 2022, to be sent to:  kedar.nurit@gmail.com
  • All submission must have English subtitles
  • Works previously refused by the Anthropological Film Festival Jerusalem cannot be resubmitted.
