The remarkable life of poet Natan Yonatan is brought to the screen in this biographical documentary. Yonatan, who passed away in 2004, was one of Israel’s most beloved poets and lyricists. He wrote scores of songs that have become an integral part of the Israeli songbook – all set to music by Israel’s finest composers and performed by its leading singers.

In the film, Yonatan’s story is told by his adopted children, Neta Raz and Neta’s son, Tom. The poet developed a special relationship with the young boy, him filling the void in Yonatan’s life following the death of his first-born son, Lior, who was killed in the Yom Kippur War in 1973.
