Munich, present day. Well-off parents Julia and Tobias appear to have the perfect bourgeois family. But their carefully maintained facade begins to crumble when their daughter Marielle suddenly develops the ability to see and hear everything they do, in real time. As lies, secrets, and self-deceptions become impossible to hide, the family is drawn into an increasingly awkward and absurd spiral. Sharp, original, and darkly funny, What Marielle Knows explores the hypocrisies and fragile truths that hold families together.
