Jewish and Arab Jerusalem Youth Make Films Together
After 15 years, we are delighted to bring I Am You Are back to the Jerusalem Cinematheque. This unique summer project brings together Jewish and Arab teenagers from across Jerusalem to meet, collaborate, and create films together.
During the workshop, held throughout July and August, young people from East and West Jerusalem embarked on a shared creative journey. Together, they wrote, directed, and filmed their own works, using cinema to explore identity, dreams, fears, questions, and the complex and ever-changing reality of life in Jerusalem.
This event marks the premiere of the films created over the summer – a mosaic of voices, perspectives, and personal stories that offers a glimpse into the worlds of these young filmmakers and the connections formed through the shared language of cinema.
