This is the story of several teenagers during one summer in a small coastal town. Sosuke, a ten-year-old with a passion for art, and his friends encounter visiting artists, locals, and the small adventures of everyday life. Based on a manga, director Satoko Yokohama’s film is not an action or horror story, but a series of modest, gently observed vignettes, executed in a relaxed style with echoes of Wes Anderson.
