Until recently, Fanny Mendelssohn was absent from the history books, overshadowed by her famous brother, composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, excluded from the male-dominated world of classical music. The film features musicologists, historians, musicians and singers - all aiming to rescue the "other Mendelssohn" from the depths of oblivion.
