Based on Sholem Aleichem's famed stories, Tevye, the pious milkman must marry off three of his six troublesome daughters - Tzeitel, who is meant to marry the old butcher Lazar Wolf, but is in love with a poor tailor, Hodel, who runs off with a revolutionary student, and finally, Chava, who marries a non-Jew..... All the while, growing anti-Semitic sentiment threatens the small Jewish village in Tsarist Russia. Fiddler on the Roof is the heartwarming story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, life, love and laughter.
